Just a reminder that there is no organized club ride this Sunday.
There will be one as normal next week.
Is anybody planning to ride out and watch the Divs?

Helen - assuming I still have legs on Sunday, I'm going to ride out, sit on Bulmer Bank, and watch how the fast boys fly up it!

Is this for the road race champs thing that is at 10am on sunday? I want to ride there to see that so would not mind meeting up with anyone who is riding out.
If there is enough people to ride out can we all meet at the art gallery then ride out together? I'd prefer it than going it alone.

I was planning on spectating. If I can persuade the family to come we'll drive out but if not I'll be cycling.

Childen over a certain age have a mind of their own and their wants rarely coincide with their parents.
Nick is helping at the signing on and my plan is to ride over later with one of our three to watch.Post grimpeur,if I'm luckyit will be at a steady pace rather than crawl.

Oh right, well I think I know the way so I'll just keep moving along unless some people want to meet up at the square if I get lost I'll just wait at side of road and hope some other cyclists come by. Is that the same place at side of the road where everyone parked there cars?

Just bumping this thread, wondering if anyone is going and would be able to meet up somewhere along the way there and ride up?
Also since I live like 12 miles out of york and its about 12 miles north of york you rekon setting off at 8am would be good enough to get there to watch the start? And where is the best place to spectate?

I'll be riding out but I'll be heading off pretty early as I'm involved in helping at it. An 8am start should certainly get you there in time for the start.
Best place to watch is probably halfway up Bulmer Bank - after you watch the start just follow them for the first couple of miles. You did the same circuit on Thursday that they'll be doing 8 laps of - it's the b****y great hill with the bend half way up it. Wait there for them to show up next time they come round.

Oh aye that hill, looking forward to this actually if its the same route, might get a few laps as I'm slowely following them around myself and get some steepish hills in
What time will you be setting off? I mean what time could you meet in york if you are setting off early?

I'll be leaving my place at about 8 as I want to get there in good time for 9. I'll be passing by the square at about 8:05 but unless you really want to get out of bed at the crack o' dawn, I'd just take it steady and ride up for the start - the route we went on Thursday is the shortest way up there.

I might be at the square, I'm fine getting up early and its go going through town on a morning when its really quiet. Just I dont know if I will deffo go now, set to rain all day and dont know about 3+ hours in wet shoes and all that.
