Weird problem

Post by willhub »

Hi.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them or know about it.

I've found this lump on the back of my head, like above the kneck, its hard and you would think its a part of the skull, problem is I am pretty sure it was not there this morning and it does not hurt.

Thanks
Willz.

Hi Will

Is it on a joint on the back of your neck?

If it is on a joint and not painful its likely to be a ganglion! I have one on the back of my hand, they're only small and just fluid build up on joints and nothing to worry about. Obviously its worth getting checked out. Or maybe wait for Dr Dave's thoughts! :)

I'm not sure if its on a joint.

Excuse the weird picture but I google back of someone head and in this pic that hole is around same place this hard lump appears to be

Dont see how it can be fluid? Would it not be soft then? Its abit worrying, apparently it could be a cyst or something too?

Do a search for a ganglion-they are a cyst and even though it is fluid, they are hard.

You could try asking your doctor what it is.

Wot Steph says. There's no point in asking a random lots of cyclists what it might be, so go and ask your doctor.
