Sounds like the Time Trial was a great success well done team riding and supporting. I rode too Lincoln 80 miles on Saturday and watched the GP today a brilliant day congratulations to Kit on his best Premier Calender ride of the season!!! We were cheering you on all the way.

Kit was also on screen and namechecked on Eurosport, in the Saturday broadcast just after the Giro. Our very own TV sports personality! I'm not sure what race it was but it was around Rutland, went "off road" and finished in Melton Mowbray?

Good effort from the riders in Saturday's TT.Sort of afternoon when all you wanted to do on a bike would be roll gently down hill.

Large group of riders in the square this sunday morning Dave B,DaveC and Dr Dave,Bernard,Ian,Willy,Will and Phill.Phill and Dave turned of at different points and the full ride went round Langdale end.Thanks to Bernard and DaveC for their route imput.
Well done to Will - He rode in from Selby for his first sunday club run and 100 mile plus ride.He improved as he was riding and was obviously still strong when we got back to York and he rode of home.
Can't have you young chaps doing more miles than the rest of us though - Willy put in extra loop when we got back to York but he only does Kilometers so in future I will have to go home via Wetherby.

Had an enjoyable ride out to Hovingham via Castle Howard with Kevin's Saturday gang which included Elaine, Dave l'Anson, Rob, Arthur, and Dave B. The countryside looks so much better when the sun is out. Well done to all the time trialists we watched on the way back to York.

In the absence of Howard there was still an A group on Sat. but they seemed to disband. I am sure Dr Dave will enlighten us with the story. Dr Dave ended up at the cafe with us.

After sweating buckets on Sat. I had to try an recover for the next days Selby Bike Ride. Even though it is not a race it was good to beat the time I did last year. Its was good to see Dr Dave there with is kids doing the shorter ride and John (Scottish) from Bishopthorpe. But where did you end uo at the start? I was looking for you to ride with.

All in all a good weekend of cycling in great weather. I just hope its cools down a bit for next weeks Etape du Dales. I cant quite believe I just said that.

Have I read correctly and did Dr Dave really manage to fit in the Sat club run, the Sunday Club run and the Selby Bike Ride? - is there no end to this man's talents.........

Cath & I made best use of our 4 hours Sunday morning to ride a 65mile route taking in Kilburn, Oldstead, Ampleforth, Gilling, Scackleton, Terrington, Castle Howard & Howsham!

The weather was marvellous, ideal cycling conditions, as long as you didn't stop.....that's when the sweatglands exploded!

Just had a great mountain biking weekend in Wales, left York Friday morning, 7 of us had an afternoon ride round Tarw at Coed-y-Brenin.
We stopped at Kings YHA, were we met the rest of the group. (Thanks to Rachel for the CCC plug on R2's drive time, Friday afternoon)

Saturday: A mixed group of family, friends, CCC and York Mountaineering Club members, 18 in all, headed back to Coed-y-Brenin. one group went round 'The Beast on Brenin' another round 'MBR'.
The end of the day saw two bikes broken (not mine this time!) and a trip to A&E with suspected broken hand and a nice pink cast for Anna.

Sunday: As we all had to go different ways home and some could no longer ride, the group split. I headed North were 6 of us did the Marin trail in Gwydyr Forest nr. Betws-y-coed.

Back in York for 8pm, thanks to all for a great weekend.

I also noticed he was down for the Sunday club run but as witness on Sunday morning he was definitely at the Selby bike ride at about 9am so he might have a twin.

It was Andrew G out on the clubrun, not Dr.Dave. Ahhh... we'll be fondly remembering those days when you could remember the names of all the members... now there's just so many....

I think Helen meant that I stopped off at Flaxton on the way back from the Sat Social ride to offer support for the T-Triallers - just got the wording a bit wrong I expect!

'Howard's Ride' left the square heading for Helmsley with 6. A stone- induced 'blow-out' for 'tall James' just before Coxwold resulted in Finley being lost off the front - we couldn't reel him in once the repair was effected. Then at Ampleforth due to a number of early returners it was decided to cut short the planned route and head for Hovingham cafe. Some then headed back, Dave C went to help with the TT, and the remnant of the group (i.e. me) merged with Kevin's party to form the TT support group already mentioned above.

Nice bimble (whoops, I mean Recovery Ride!) with my 10yr old son on the 25 mile Selby Charity Ride on Sunday. He enjoyed it so I'll need to keep jollying him along and see if I can make a cyclist of him.

out from daughters b/day for a bit. gorgeous day again - love the sun.

Where will howards ride be going next saturday? I'll be coming along on that one for a change I think as It was recommended that I did. Is it white horse bank?
