It's time that we should be either entering or entered - makes life a bit easier for the organiser.

May i suggest we use this thread to post who is riding what and then use to co-ordinate lifts etc nearer the end of the month.

Having said that i was going to do the 180 route - i think i am going to drop down to the 140 this year.

Hope this doesn't scupper peoples plans who may have already entered.

All welcome to join me - steady pace and regroup at the top of every hill.

No one will get left behind!

Its a big day out even on the shorter version but if the weather holds will be something to look forward to and a great sense of achievement at the end.

Mark

Nick and I are planning to ride the 200k event this year.
To get round in a reasonable amount of time we are planning on a shop stop in Hawes and a cafe stop at Reeth, climbing at a 'comfortable' pace and keeping going on the rolling stuff.I don't know if that fits in with what other people who are riding the longer distance want to do.If someone doing that distance is slower we can't promise to wait because we have to back on time.

Is there anyone happy to lead a club group round the 180k distance?

I'm doing the 200K too, though my climbing is absolute pants at the moment, so I shall probably have to do my own ride at my own pace, though I shall try to keep up with you for a while Helen.

I am sure you will get up fair number of them before me.If not you will go past on the down hill sections. On yesterday's Dales ride we passed riders going up for them to pass me going down. We need to finnish about the 12 hour mark to get home on time.Weather / legs permitting hoping to come in unde 12.
It will be good to see you on Sunday I can't remember when we last met up on the road.

Last time was I think - the Dales Grimpeur two years ago, I specifically remember because you still had two full water bottles even at the end of the ride. Still I'm considerably less fit than I was then and heavier so as I've said I'm not being anti-social but I'm going to have to do my own ride on Saturday (but may try to keep up with the Cliftonites for a while).

Hopefully, however on the Ron Kit in a few weeks time there might be some Cliftonites who'd like to ride it as group, I shall be up for that.

I haven't done the Ron Kit ride yet so was hoping to make it this year.
I will feature it as that weeks club run because it would be good to ride out as a club on a local event.
See you Saturday -we are hoping to make it to the start on time
