"As various people have already suggested, you're answering all your own questions. Take a break, see a doctor, check your bike setup against the sizing sheet CH will have given you after your bike fit, and when you do get back on the bike (ie when you're not getting any pain, after taking a break and seeing the doc) take it much, much easier."
Chill! For five days!

I've already chilled for 5 days literally, is going for a steady ride on my bike at this point bad? I want to get out on the bike if steady riding is "safe" My knee's don't hurt massively now so I don't know if I will get pain again only way would be to go on bike and see.
I wanted to see a doctor tonight really...

Will, listen to the advice people give you or people will eventually stop giving you advice.
You've an appointment in 5 days and you act like it's the end of the world having to wait that long. Many of us on here (if not most) CAN'T do a decent ride for 5 days EVERY WEEK because we work every hour of daylight 5 days a week.

Will, which bit don't you understand about "take a break"?

I understand take a break, I have for the past couple of days, I just want a short ride out to get some fresh air, like 8 miles thats all going steady, I wanted to know if that was OK. I'm so bored their is nothing else to do that is why I want to go on my bike.. I'm not trying to ignore/ignoring anyones advice here.
I don't have an appointment in 5 days, I have to wait until like Tuesday next week as that is 5 days, they don't work on weekends. I will then have to book an appointment in 7 days.

For crying out loud Will, you said your knees "don't hurt massively". That means they hurt. That means rest them. Go for a walk. Read a book. Write a training plan. Do pretty much anything apart from the activity that seems to cause your knee pain. There is more to life than cycling.

Will, there's been lots of LOUD STUFF, so I'll go for sympathetic.
I hate having to take time off when I'm fit - whether through sickness, injury, work trip, or other burdens like holidays.
BUT if you want to get back to regular pain-free cycling as quickly as possible, then stay right away from the bike until you've seen the doctor AND done what s/he recommends AND the pain has gone. It's going to be a couple of weeks, get used to the idea, go swimming (if that doesn't hurt), and stay well. Anything else (like just going for a little ride) will delay your recovery.
By the way, all GPs have targets to see a patient within 48rs (I think?) of a request. So it *should* be 5+2 days.
Sorry, but that's how it is. Chill out and return refreshed... there is no other option.

Hmmm ok...
When I go home at the weekend I might strip my bike down when I'd normally have a cycle.
One thing that is worth mentioning though is, when I go to college on my bicycle, I find on my old bike my legs literally don't give me any bother at all, that is why I wanted to check my position out, the charts from cycle heaven don't give much more info tbh and it all seems to check out ok.
I'll try keep of the bike then, although on Friday I will cycle to the train station, then from Selby to home (about 2-3miles), I cannot avoid this as the bus will not let me put the bike on the bus. Although if my dad is at home I'll ask him to pick me up.

Will,
find a girl/ discover beer for a couple of weeks, get knee's better, dump girl, stop drinking, ride bike, eat pasta, go to bed early!
What an action plan if ever I clapped eyes on one.

No one probably wants to know but anyways I'll post.
I went to the doctor, he fiddled with my leg doing all sorts of movements including pulling my legs up with just holding my toes lol.
He said I'll have to go for an Xray and then come back in 4 weeks.
He also said I don't have to stop cycling so that is good.

Was that bad of him?
Are you a doctor? What would you have done if you where in his shoes?
