Okay... ...Thursday evening update:-

Many thanks to all who are helping - we're okay for caterers, drivers and marshals - if anyone else has an empty social diary on Sunday a couple of extra helpers at the finish would mean I rely a bit less on the camera and hence probably have slightly fewer grey hairs...

Provisional arrangements for the day are that the race HQ will be available from 08:30 - it's Aldborough village hall, Low Road, Aldborough, Boroughbridge, YORK YO51 9ER. Send me a quick email to roadrace at cliftoncc dot org and I'll send the start sheets by return so you've got all the info.

I'll be there from about 08:00 but will head out round the circuit to put out signs, so probably not too much use anyone turning up before 08:30 and if marshals/drivers etc for the morning race could be there at 09:00 or shortly afterwards that'll give time for briefing, affixing of roof signs etc prior to it all kicking off. If any of you can get there for 08:30 then there's always jobs need doing.

The afternoon race starts at 13:30 with signing-on from 12:00 although the buggers always turn up early. Anyone marshalling/helping with both events will get a chance to fill up on tea and sarnies/cakes inbetween the two events, and there'll be further briefing re the format for the afternoon event.

If any of you have any queries pop them in that email which you're sending me!

Great Clifton turn-out at this evening's YERRL event at Brandsby - well done to all, and especially Andy Myers for his top ten finish. That lad can go up hills!

Yeah well done Andy, another Clifton getting in the points. Enter some hilly races fella. Finish would also have suited Toby, lets have more racing on hilly courses.

Andy, Crosstrax RR 5th August. Finishes on top of Bland Hill. More of a draggy big ring climb but would suit you.

Phil,

I going to head over tomorrow to lend a hand/cheer, in case there's anything you need help with. I'm getting a lift over with Michael in the morning.

Hi Phil, as posted I'll pick Anthony up at 8 tomorrow. Had a run round the Milby circuit this morning, no major changes but quite a bit of gravel on the road from Cundall on quite a few corners. Anthony and I will drive to Cundall and sweep as much of it off as we can before heading for Aldborough. Should be with you about 9.

See you tomorrow :D :D

Excellent stuff. I was planning on getting my daughter sweeping that fast left-hander before the run to Milby, in the hope the skills might be transferrable to her room at uni!
