Sledmere for me too. First TT for about 15 years, and about 5 minutes slower than my last 10 mile TT, but good fun, and I cant go anywhere near Wetwang without having fish and chips, so that was nice.
Well done my fellow TT'ers plus the Neil White and Trailquest crowd, bring on some more pain.

Well done to all you competitors this weekend.
After leaving Rob's grp, feeling very numb & cold( in fact the wettest & coldest of the winter - which given that I did some rides at minus degrees centigrade in december is saying a lot. So I decided to head for shelter in Ripon to warm up & dry out with 33 miles done.
But after being joined by several other grps in the Spa gardens, all having abandoned rides further north or west, I then managed a 40 mile route back to York via Knaresborough, Wetherby, Boston spa, Tad, Appleton Roebuck & then over the A64 to Bilbrough & back in via Askam B; only to be caught on Moor lane by one of Rob's grp.

Turned up but never really took part in Sundays Neil White. I've ridden this virtually every year for the past 10 and this was the hardest edition - 5 deg and wet. Even for me in the 3rd cat group it seemed fast even before we were caught by the E, 1 and 2 cats and them the speed went up another 5 mph! I said it was the hardest edition I've ridden, I'm sure somewhere the organisers found an extra lap but didnt tell anyone? What I do know is the computer on my bike reads 55 miles at 24 mph and that includes about 4 miles tootling back to the changing rooms! The worst thing about days like that is you still have your bike to clean. But one race doesnt make a season. Well done to everyone who braved the elements this weekend. Even a cold weather specialist like me has had enough of it now!

I turned up to the square at 10am on saturday for my very first intermediate ride. Great route over to Driffield, nice weather and really good company too; thanks for making me feel so welcome! Bike computer measured 95 miles door to door (although strangely Simon's read about 5 miles further than mine when we got back into York, any ideas?), so improved on my previous max. of ~80 miles. Will definitely be back for more soon!
Then Sunday consisted of another 1.5 hours solo in the saddle.
Looking forward to getting out on the bike next weekend already.

Wrong wheel circumference programmed into computer?

Saturday was my first venture away from home in two months and I was delighted to manage more miles than some of the Saturday posters - admittedly they were the 10 mile tters - but my 11.5, relatively pain free, miles, at under half their tt speed, were a great pleasure.
Next target a club run, but a few weeks before that I think.

They're both Garmins so I wouldn't have thought this would be the problem: Simon's was using GPS directly whereas mine would use the speed/cadence sensor that automatically detects the wheel size corresponding to the GPS speed it picks up (I think that's how it works).
