Clarify my last 2 points

By children I was thinking of pre teens and no one that young should be undertaking rigourous training in 1 sport they need time to play and for their bodies and minds to develop.

In choosing Beijing to host the Olympics the organisers have mired the occasion in politics. They have given the games to a totalitarian state which is using them for internal proganda as well as an external show of face. I could list dissidents who have been rounded up and the peasants and workers who have lost out so these games might happen,but whats the point just as when they were held in Berlin 1937 or Moscow people will watch.

Anyone wanted some idea of modern china can borrow my copy

Your right its not a direct link but Cavendish and some of the other riders will
be going and I get more wound up by the constant hyping of the olympics than the drugs issue.
