Kev, one of the members has sorted Will out with some jerseys, but used shorts tend to be pretty well shot. They also need to be the right size - hence Andy's pointing out that Cycle Heaven do have a changing room (small, but big enough for one) so Will can get the right size. I've got some old kit but there's no point me giving it to Will as most of it wouldn't fit. Also, to be honest, all the stuff I never use is the stuff I bought for a tenner at the bike show about four years ago - bibshorts that chafe on long rides etc, and there's a message in that:- I reckon where shorts are concerned you just have to bite the bullet and get reasonable quality stuff, or you end up with a heap of wasted tenners and may as well have spend thirty quid on a pair that work. I realise it's hard when you're a student; I know I'm an old bloke but back in the mists of time I had five years as a student and I know how frustrating it is when pursuing a passion costs money.

Yea I think I'll just get the clifton CC bib shorts, if they are good quality and have a big enough pad they should be fine, thats the problem with my current shorts, the pad seems too small and keeping moving about, you proberbly seen me getting up off the saddle quite often to sort it due to it when out on the rides.

Various people already have, but second hand cycle shorts are not a good idea.

Have a look at probikekit.com - quite often sell last years trade team clothing & other stuff quite cheap, had a few things from there. But is better to buy shorts in person unless you already know that type/brand are comfortable...
