Cheers Phil
I will be getting the train into York, so please PM me your address. Ta.

BC has updated me as an event organiser and I have logged my bank account details in the hope that everything will be ready to set up on Friday.

If the dates remain the same, Cam B posted up on an earlier page..:
Cam B wrote: ...We are planning to have six races in total. The first of these would be a for 4th Cats only and the other five will be for 3rd and 4th Cats. We plan to have them on a Thursday evening as follows:

17 May – Bishopwood – Hosted by Clifton
31 May – Escrick – Hosted by Cycleworks
14 June – Kirby Misperton (this is a new circuit) – Hosted by Malton Wheelers
28 June – Escrick – Hosted by Clifton
12 July – Brandsby – Hosted by Cycleworks
26 July – Kirby Misperton – Hosted by Malton Wheelers

60 riders in each race plus 10 reserves.
Hope this helps :)

North Yorkshire Evening RR League:
17 May – Bishopwood – Hosted by Clifton
31 May – Escrick – Hosted by Cycleworks
14 June – Kirby Misperton (this is a new circuit) – Hosted by Malton Wheelers
28 June – Escrick – Hosted by Clifton
12 July – Brandsby – Hosted by Cycleworks
26 July – Kirby Misperton – Hosted by Malton Wheelers
These dates will shortly be going on the BC calendar www.britishcycling.org.uk. The purpose of this message is to give all Clifton CC members an early “heads up”. Please keep an eye out for them. Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. If you are keen on giving road racing a try or you are already an experienced road racer this is a great opportunity.
As always, these races cannot go ahead without volunteers. A lot of work, by several people in the club - who may fancy having a go at one or two of the races themselves! - has already been done to get this series set up. Clifton CC is specifically organising the races on 17 May and 28 June. We are hiring a Traffic Management company who will provide Marshalls but we will still need additional help on the night. Thanks to all who have offered to help so far but we still need a minimum of 4 volunteers and a minimum of 5 volunteers on 17 May and 28 June respectively. If you fancy doing one or two races why not lend a hand on the on one or both of these nights? If you can help out please post something here or send a PM to me.
Many thanks.

Re: Escrick circuit, this place is on the course, not far from the start, has a fair sized car park and is ours for 10quid an hour

By contrast, the Drover's Arms in Skipwith seems to have gone awfully quiet...

I'll get in touch with the keyholder if nobody objects.

Hi Tom
Can we use this as a HQ on 28 June?

Big thanks to the organisers of this - you have done a great job getting this off the ground.

I have offered to marshall - here is the link for anyone that wants to volunteer for the Thursday night races or the others that Clifton are running: http://discussion.cliftoncc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4218

Hi Cam, I think I've already said somewhere that I'm available to help on the 17th May at Bish. I'd like to ride the Escrick and Brandsby races.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for that.
Jubilee Hall for Event 1 at Bishopwood on 17 May is booked. We can have the upstairs room from 6.00pm although the changing room and toilets are available before then. Probabably have to set up a table or something in the car park for siging on as I am sure riders will be arriving before 6.

Bad news I'm afraid. I suspect they have a regular Thursday booking...
Dear Tom,

Your enquiry regarding the evening availability of Thorganby Village Hall for the dates – 31st May and 28th June, 2012 has been passed on to me.

Whilst we would have no problem with your proposed use we are already booked for both of those evenings.

I can offer both 30th May and 1st June; as well as 27th and 29th June.
I think I'll try the pub in Skipwith next. They have a decent sized carpark behind. The pub in Thorganby is a bit smart for lycra hordes...
Cheers,
tom

The first event on Thu 17 May at Bishopwood is now on the BC calender.

If you don't want to race but would like to help on the night please see this thread http://discussion.cliftoncc.org/viewtop ... 8&start=15 or send me a PM.

Ive sent an E-mail to Cam, but Im available for the first race and so is my mate Col. Both from Malton Wheelers.

I would like to drive if I could. Dont know if it causes problems with me not being from the promoting club? I want to do it so that I know what to expect for our race.
Col wants to Marshal.

Matt, what's the Kirby Misperton circuit like? I hope it's nice and flat for a fat old bloke.

I hope we can get the race filled up at Bish, I notice it's only just gone on the BC website..I did tell a few people about it today.
