Post by Alice.S »

Hope everyone had a good christmas :)

Mum (Helen) and I are planning a 3/4 hour ride on New Years Day and will be at the square at 10am if anybody would like to join us? We arent planning to have a cafe stop and are hoping to have a nice ride at a good pace and knowing Mum it will have a few hilly bits included so feel free to join us (:

That a Thursday?

Providing it ain't chucking it down and my bike does not fall apart I'll come along, guessing it'll be about 70 miles?

New year's day ride

Post by John Banks »

Hi Alice and Will
Sounds like a good idea to blow away the cobwebs and I would also like to come along also assuming no rain or not too sleepy. At the moment I am riding an old (80,s) Emmelle touring bike with wide (3/8) tyres and flat handle bars but it has all the gears for getting up the hills.
Have a good new year's eve.

I may not be there.

I discovered a new problem with my bike, the jockey wheels on the rear mech and slanted so much it is causing the chain to come into contact with the mech and causing resistance.

In the hope that you have time to check the discussion board before you set off, unfortunately I am also not able to make this morning.
Hope you have a good ride and the sun comes out.
Happy new year
