Came across this - might be an excuse to ride some different roads?

P.S. I know I could ride them for free on any other day Rob ;)

Hi all - my first time on your site as a guest.
Northern Rock are the headline sponsor for the event but do not own it and there are many other sponsors including the regional development agency. NR are not the organisers, I am.
If you look closely a the event website you will see it is a whole weekend of cycling including Criteriums, 3 Sportive rides and a Premier Calendar event. The weekend is probably one of the richest weekends for the UK Elites next year with over £12K in prizes. Next year continental teams will also be riding.
I'd love to see a Clifton CC team entered over the weekend for any of the events. I used to race against you guys many years ago as a member of the Gosforth RC of which I am still chairman.

Yea a Clifton CC team would be awesome, would also be brilliant to be in allthough I'm not sure I'd be good enough tbh

I don't know where exactly this sportive is held, is it up near Newcastle or something?

all the maps are on the website - start/finish for the sportive rides are at Newcastle Falcons Rugby ground which is on the NW side of Newcastle. You have the choice of three rides designed so that even a teenager can do 2 of the rides. The 101ml is a toughie but doable in about 6 - 7 hrs.

If it's in June I have full confidence that I'd deffenitly be able to complete 101mile for sure, just it's too far and I'd be most likely in Manchester on that date :(
