Whats the point? Whats wrong with the old fasioned ones?

I might of missed it, but are they automatic too? That might be good, might give an advantage over acceleration.

Some of us are still only 8-speed [1]! Another website was recently showing off the Shimano electronic stuff with approx. UK prices - the front mech alone was about 240 quid!!! Mind you, it apparently includes the CPU that takes care of shift control.

[1] With a 1" diameter fork column, non-integrated headset, and square-taper cranks to boot. Oh, and a steel frame, for extra museum-piece value. :wink:
