Intro into racing - newbie/oldie chaingang
Come on lets make the most of the weather. Anyone up for a chaingang/fast training session depending on numbers. Want to have a crack at riding fast but never raced or just old and knackered like me. Heck even if you're a good road racer but don't fancy the usual chaingang come along too (but please keep a couple of mph in reserve).
Bit short notice to do it tomorrow night. How about Wednesday at the millennium bridge 6.30 pm? In the absence of any alternative suggestions I'll be there and if no-one else turns up, I'll go for a ride on my own, like the Billy no mates I am.

Helen and I are going to do the normal chaingang tonight. Meet 6 (I think, might be a smidge later) just past Wetherby Rd/Bypass roundabout. I'll probably be late and pick the group up on the way.Pete S wrote:I am in for a good workout.
Do you have to be a member of the clifton or can anyone come and then think about becoming a member.
Pete - you're welcome to come along on our rides and see how you like things. If you keep coming, we'll ask you to join

I should certainly be there now, I'll be on my old bike though, weirdly enough it seems abit easier to accelerate on than my main bike, I cant explain it really, but it seems due to the fact the handlebars are alot smaller I can shake the bike about alot more and get more acceleration or something
and weirdly enough It feels slightly a relief trying my old bike again, as I'm more squashed I suspect I am too stretched on my main bike so I'm going to get a shorter stem I think, well should be free swap really.
