Although the next Easy Ride was not scheduled until Tuesday June 3rd the event is so popular that we'll slot in an extra one next week on Tuesday May 27th, from Exhibition Square, at 6.30pm.
Last night 's beautiful but chilly ride took us (Claire, Silka, Cathy, John,Mark, Millie and Willy) to Stamford Bridge, about 95% of the 10 mile distance on cyleways and green tracks, back via Warthill and Murton. Around 3 hours of cycling in totally peaceful and silent countryside.
On Easy Rides (there are a half dozen routes available now) all riders get a route map, so each knows where they're going, and where they are, and can return to the route individually whenever they wish. All this builds confidence and evident enthusiam.
During the past 2 rides nine people new to group rides have taken part, evidently keen to do more riding, more often, getting out, getting fit or fitter, getting new friends, seeing the world on your doorstep!
(Oh, by the way, bikes with front shopping baskets like going quite fast too, they're excellent at doing front turns on the way back!)
Easy Riders are asking for more....

Last night was my first ride with Clifton CC and i would like to thank Willy for an excellent evening, i got to see some beautiful countryside i hadn't realised was right on my doorstep. I will definitely be along for another ride.
Everyone on the ride was so friendly, and very patient as i struggled to get to grips with my new cleats... I only fell 4 times! ....By the way, these were totally unecessary, the pace of the ride was very gentle, and there were no big hills, but it was an ideal ride for me to trial them.
I am a complete novice to organised bike rides, but i got lots of tips and advice from the other riders, i would really recommend this ride, especially to families, thanks once again Willy,
