Thursday 22nd Spocco

Its that time of year again folks, the first of the Spoccos is on the 22nd of May, thats a week on thursday.

I need 3 marshalls, 1 pusher off and 1 person to help with time keeping.
Currently I have 1 marshall, any offers of help would be much appreciated.

Not enough helpers? so far no one has come forwards.
Come on guys, without some help its not possible for these events to take place.

I dont know if it stands but it was suggested that to qualify for the series overall there would be one compulsary marshalling required of each individual, like it is at the Boroughbridge Tli series on a tuesdays, maybe Muzzy could clarify wether or not this is the case.

I guess there are two options here?

1 You spend hours tracking down people (many of whom have recently pledged to help when they joined - only 3 have come forward for my TT, including one of the usual stalwarts) and you plead with them to help, or

2 No event.

I know people will think I am being unreasonable here - after all, these events always take place in the end, don't they? Yes they do, but largely because organisers can't bear to cancel so they take option 1 and mostly fill the places with the same peole who always do far more than their fair share. I for one wouldn't blame you if you chose the other option.

Good luck. I hope enough people come forward in the end and it is a great success.

I can marshal 22nd or 29th May (I personally wouldn't trust myself with pushing people off but will happily stand on a corner!). Drop me an email (mcarter@yorkcollege.ac.uk) if required.

I will help on this Thursdays TT as I have the Richmond 100 on The following Sunday, I don't think I should be the pusher off man though as my arm is quite sore but will only be too happy to Marshall.
