Hi,
I am fairly new to road biking (kinda). I've cycled end to end on a mountain bike in 13 days and am doing it again on my first road bike that I have just purchased (Focus Cayo).
I want a cycle computer and have been looking at the Garmin Edge 305 (with HR monitor). Is this the right one for me? Can't really afford any more. Is it any use without the memory maps? Are there any better alternatives for similar price of £140
Your help is very much appreciated
Which Cycle Computer

Hi Matt
The Edge 305 comes with a basic UK road map built in, but it's very basic. Depends what you want it for, really. If you're planning on using it for navigation then I'm not sure how useful it would be. As a bike computer/HRM which will download ride info to a PC, and which uses GPS to give additional info about height, gradient, more accurate speed and distance, plus a map of where you've been (which will overlay on Google Maps) then it's excellent.
