07/06/2018 Thurs Evening SPOCO TT - Volunteers Reqd.

Post by craigdabrown »

The next round of our Thursday Evening SPOCO Series is the hilly, 14 mile Sherrif/Bulmer/Coneysthorpe Circuit and we still require an organiser and marshalls.

Is anyone able to help with this please?

As far as I am aware, all the signs and event documentation (including stop watches) are currently at Martin Willan's house in Sheriff Hutton. Whoever is going to be the organiser should liaise directly with Martin to arrange collection before the event and returning after the TT.

Please can you post on here and add your name to the Volunteer Spreadsheet for this event if you can help.

Neither myself or David Short are available to assist this week, so we really require someone else to organise the logistics to ensure this event goes ahead.

Craig, I'll organise this Thursday.

We need 4 marshals and a pusher off so please post here and/or on the spreadsheet.

Cheers

Thanks Dave, for info Bernard has agreed to be time keeper and he has the stop watches. I'm down in Kent, returning on Thursday but not likely to be back in time for the TT. Good luck.

Chris Rowley has had his name down for Timekeeper for this event for a while now. Has that changed, it still says Chris on the spreadsheet.

I can't access the spreadsheet from the mobile phone. I was just going by what Bernard said last week at Whekdrake.

We still need 4 marshals to enable Thursdays tt to go ahead, remember, somebody has to do it otherwise the event won't be able to go ahead. You need to help in at least one event to qualify for the championship.

Cheers

Thanks Nige, we need 3 more volunteers (2 at a pinch) , if we don't by 8 am in the morning we will have to cancel the event. It cannot run without marshals and it's an easy job. Please just post on here and/or the spreadsheet.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

Cheers

Hi Dave

I received an e-mail from Michael Jeffrey to say that there are traffic lights between Coneysthorpe and Terrington in the woods for around 50m. Michael says that they've only just gone up in the last day or so.

Also, a friend of his Mark (Wiggy) who lives in Terrington has said that he is happy to help by marshalling. He's not a member of Clifton but a keen cyclist.

Craig

Should be ok for marshals now, I’ll check out the trafic light situation this morning and then decide if good to go or not.

I rode full course yesterday afternoon and there was no traffic lights then. But by all means you can double check .
