24/05/2018 Evening SPOCO T.T. - Last call for volunteers

Post by craigdabrown »

This is the final appeal for volunteers to help at our Time Trial event tomorrow (Thursday) evening on the Sheriff/Whenby/Brandsby Course.

We still require an Oganiser, Marshalls and someone to assist with Timekeeping.

Is anyone able to help with this please? I've tried to give it every chance and it would be a real shame to have to cancel it, given the popularity of the first two events.

I can get there in time to marshall but not, currently, as organiser.

All the signs and event documentation (including stop watches) are currently at Martin Willan's house in Sheriff Hutton. Whoever is going to be the organiser should liaise directly with Martin to arrange collection before the event and returning after the TT.

Please can you post on here or e-mail secretary@cliftoncc.org and add your name to the Volunteer Spreadsheet for this event if you can help.

I've put myself down as a marshall, but wouldn't mind helping out with the timekeeping if still required - although I would point out I have no experience of timekeeping.

Cheers,

Hi Craig,

I've put myself up for organising - if I've beaten anyone to the spreadsheet, feel free to delete me! If not I'll set up this one. 3 marshals are all that's needed (for the 3 left turns) so if I push off then we should be good to go.

cheers,

Many thanks to Chris, Jill, Ian, Paul, Michael and, especially, Martin (again) for volunteering to help out tomorrow evening.

Looks like we just about got there in the end and the event is now good to go.

Hopefully we can have another well-attended Time Trial.

First rider off at 19:30.
