Thank you to the K riders

I just wanted to say thank you very much to everyone on the K ride last Saturday who helped me when I came off my bike after a run in with a pothole and a grate. Thanks to Jacqui who made sure I was OK at the scene, to Dave and Bernard who checked my bike over, to Claire for calling back up in and asking Rob to collect me and Steve and our bikes and take us home, to Kevin who looked very concerned as you left us, and to John who suggested that I have an ice cream when I got back home - perfect post-crash food! I am sorry I also brought you off your bike too John and I hope you are OK. And finally thank you to the whole group who sent me flowers this week, which have cheered me up greatly. I couldn't have been out with a nicer group that day and you all looked after me very well. I feel much better and hope to be back out again very soon. Many thanks to you all, Dawn.

Sorry to hear about your mishap Dawn, hope you are soon back on your bike.

I don't know the circumstances of the incident but I have found that not everyone in a group points out potholes/other hazards, it is very important that everyone who is in front does this to prevent pinch punctures/bent wheels/falling off and worse.
