Posting an easy route to try and intercept the TdY at Harewood. I thought we'd take the long route to Knaresborough, stop for a bite, and then putter over through Kirkby Overblow aiming to get to Harewood by ~13:45, which is an hour before the race is scheduled to pass through. Return via Wetherby.
Given the continued rain for the next few days and chance of showers on Sat, fenders might be a good idea.
105Km / ~65 miles square to square.

There was some discussion at the pub last night re: heading up to Blakey Ridge on Sunday (5/1).
The race starts ~11:30 and is scheduled to pass through HLH ~13:45.
Depending on conditions and allowing for a mechanical or other mishap, we should take 2-2.5hrs to reach HLH from York (via Strensall, Flaxton, Castle Howard).
Meeting in the square at 10 should get us up there allowing time to find a good spot, secure the bikes and perhaps even a caffeine infusion if we're ahead of schedule.
Sounds like a plan Tony, won't be joining you Saturday though as I'm gonna go see the women's race in the morning as it passes just down the road from where I live and then watch the men in the afternoon. May consider heading to square on Sunday to ride out to HLH with you guys. Hope to see you then
