There were 9 of us wanting a full day ride. Emmanuel bust a spoke at Snowball and headed back. That left Muzzy, Steen, Andy, Jonathon, IanH, Cooky, Broomy (loads of quality there) and self to tackle a route rarely traveled around the Wolds south of Driffield. Very quiet lanes, big skies, sun, wind and steadily dropping temperatures saw us reach Gilberdyke Garden Centre after 55 miles. The place has been taken over and the cafe is now huge. The food hit the spot though and we tackled the Broomy influenced route up through Faggathorpe back to Sutton on Derwent and home. Lots of lanes new to me.

My legs are buzzing now as I type this - sign of a great day.
Sunday Rider' Xmas Dinner Ride next week - Scarborough - 105 miles. All welcome. Will finish in the dark - bring good lights!
