Just wanted to say thanks to the team for organising the ride. The weather was cracking and the route really gives you a bit of everything (including my mudguards falling to bits outside of Helmsley, luckily an easy fix..)

Total riding time of 4.5 hours, 82 miles, just shy of 16mph average speed and just over 155w (sorry, I know watts shouldn't be discussed on a reliability ride.... :D )

Thanks again.

Agreed, hats off to Andy and all involved. Good to blow away the cobwebs with the first 'full berries' ride of the year. Thanks also to my ride companions who made it a fun albeit challenging day - many thanks for waiting a couple of times when I was starting to slip out of the back door - I must work on getting those pounds off so I don't get dropped on the hills
Keep pedalling!

Big thanks to Andy and anyone else involved in organising a great ride on Sunday. Spent most of the ride in a large front group along with Cam, Richard D, JohnS and WillK.

The size of the group got smaller between Helmsley and Malton with the lumps and the wind making the going pretty tough - think we were lined out all the way between Hovingham and Malton. We got to Malton with an average speed of 20.5mph on clock, so the pace was pretty high! The Clifton riders mentioned above were riding really strongly and never really looked like they were struggling, especially Cam who appears to be flying!

Couldn't quite hold the pace of Phil Graves and the others up the climb out of Birdsall, and so rode back from Leavening in a group of 3 with JohnS and one other, a few minutes behind the front group, and the wind on the return made it especially hard work. A big thanks to John for hanging back for me when I was struggling near Buttercrambe.

19mph average for the reliability for me, and 92 miles/5 hours door to door including my ride in meant I was happy for a sit down when I got home! Thanks all for the great company as always :)

This was my first club ride so would just like to say thanks to the organisers. It helped that I was familiar with most of the route but I suffered with the wind from Helmsley and due to starting a 9 hour shift at 3pm, decided to do a short cut back through Castle Howard and Sheriff Hutton.
Total distance of 65 miles, 14mph average.
First experience of riding in a group, which I found very enlightening!! Amazing how it blew apart on Church Hill in Crayke !!
