Guidance on minimum age - Reliability age guidelines - All participants under the age of 18 must submit a consent form completed by their parent/guardian.
Parental consent forms are available for download from the British Cycling website here. Riders

Re: 2014 Clifton Reliability Ride
Hi Andy
Was wondering if the start/finish is the sports village could you tell us what the proposed route is to join the original reliability route assuming this is the same as normal. Or is it just a case of using your own initiative. Not a big issue I know but one I know a few people might be wondering too.
Thanks in advance
Jon

Re: 2014 Clifton Reliability Ride
Just a suggestion....some folk may wish to load the route to a GPS. Any chance you could post the relevant section of the route directions? Or perhaps just drop hints - eg via Hull Road, Foss Island Road, and Lord Mayor's Walk to Wiggy Rd or via Tang Hall Lane, Heworth Green and Penley's Grove St. to Wiggy Rd, or perhaps Haxby Rd, Haxby etc
Route distance approx now 72 miles depending on exact start/finish route btw

Andy
I've entered via BC website but entry list just shows me as a blank name - just 'Clifton CC'. I must have screwed up somehow - ? related to me not being a BC member. Will bring entry receipt as proof of entry, OK?

Re: 2014 Clifton Reliability Ride
Perhaps the route could go out via Haxby Road to Haxby and Wigginton which would cut out that straight dangerous bit from ring road to Wigginton which we avoid normally nowadays!
Re: 2014 Clifton Reliability Ride
hi guys
I have only recently joined the club, but have done a number of the Saturday training rides with Phil and rest of the lads, and have from time to time checked the forum in the last few weeks. In that process of checking i must have missed or over looked the ride this Sunday and seeing it, it struck me like a decent ride out and a chance to meet a few more faces from the club. But i have just tried to register on line to find that the on line entry is closed. Is it possible to just rock up Sunday (with the completed BC general entry form) and enter the ride Or is it to late?
thanks
Lee

You can just pay on the day when you get to the car park Lee, no worries. Correct change probably appreciated

YES - Entry on the day no welcome
Route news
Cllifton CC 112km/70mile reliability ride takes place on the first Sunday of February, the route heads from York heading north and includes total climbing of 3,600 feet, general route, after passing through Haxby, Wigginton, Sutton on Forest, Huby, Crayke, Ampleforth, Helmsley, Nunnington, Hovingham, Malton, Norton, Birdstall, Leavening , Buttercrambe, Warthill, Murton and finishing at York Sport Village. Once you have finished there's a chance to sit down sit and refuel at the Sport Village Cafe.
Changes - the loop out of Helmsley does not go as far up the A170, at the top of Birdstall turn RIGHT and go through Leavening eventually joining Lowfield Lane to Buttercrambe.

Re: 2014 Clifton Reliability Ride
There is an error on the garmin map.
On entering Crayke from the South, do not turn left at the Primary School then right into Jack Lane, as it peters out into a rough path.
Instead go straight on up West Way, then left onto the short but steep Church Hill....
The Google map is correct
