Fulford Cycles will host this event, which we held for the very first time in 2012. Last year’s event was hugely successful with over 75 cyclists of all ages from men, women, boys and girls, toddlers and teenagers, students, parents and grand parents, all joined us (wearing either grown, painted, or stuck on moustaches) as we cycled around 7-8 miles from York to Fulford. We raised over £600 and we had tea, coffee and cakes were at the shop to greet them. We also had prizes for the best Mo-Bro, best Mo-Sista and best Mo-Kid moustache on the day and goodie bags for the first hundred cyclists to arrive. We’ll be doing the same again this year. Everyone who came along last year had a thoroughly enjoyable time. A true sense of community was felt throughout and we all felt that we did some good in raising awareness of male related cancers, including Prostate and testicular cancer.
If you would like to join us on Sunday 24th November, just sharpen your moustaches, bring your bicycles and cycling friends, family and colleagues, and all come along to York Minster on the day. We are all meeting at twelve noon outside of the Minster adjacent to Preceptor’s Court. Once everyone has arrived, at approximately 1.00pm, we leave for a seven mile or so bicycle ride through some of York's lovely cycle paths ending with a nice cuppa and slice of cake at Fulford Cycles shop in Fulford. This year we're aiming to pass the 100+ cyclist mark. Hopefully you can help us make this happen.
For more information on how you can help or simply if it’s just to let us know that you are joining us on the last Sunday in November to give us your support, simply drop me a line in the shop (or on Facebook) with your details, and if not, we hope to see you there on the day anyway for what we hope will be a fun ride.
By the way, if you don’t mind, perhaps you can pass this around your office, colleagues, family and friends, we’d really appreciate it.
And if you like, you can always print the poster off and put it up on your local notice boards, either in your office, local chippy perhaps, or your newsagent. Spread the word!
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all on 24th November!!
