Two sorrys and a thank you. First sorry... When I said 40ish miles I really meant 50ish and we all know (ish) means over rather than under. Second sorry... for not doing a run through of the route after Linton... If I had we wouldn't have been wondering around the homes of the rich and famous, for quite so long Finally a big thank you to Richard for helping with the route. I just goes to prove the old adage; "that you can pack everything in your back pockets but experience"... still holds true. I think it's a case of must try harder... Dave K
No problem Dave. Thanks for leading this ride. Lisa and I enjoyed the day, but as you say was a little longer than we were expecting. Nice sized group and everyone kept together without too much trouble. Enjoyed the cafe stop at Linton on such a beautiful day. Lisa's knees were playing up toward the end so we had to take the more direct route back to York, but still 54 miles on the clock. Have other commitments for most of the August weekends but we hope to be out again with the easy riders in the near future.
