Blumin ' Banks of the Hambleton Hills Challenge #3

Post by Steen Berg »

Lots going on this weekend on and off the bike so feel I have to sell this one a bit. Where else are you going to gain two whole Challenge points !!
Possibly the best preparation for next weeks Scotton 100

Started of off with the working title of The illegitimate Banks of the Hambleton Hills. That was not quiet right so we came up with the above. You might have a better idea after the ride. A cross between the Spiro and Mr Cook's alternative Rydale Rumble from last Autumn. If you enjoyed these rides this should be for you.

Up 8 Climbs with different descents White Horse, Boltby, Hornby, Scawton, Wass, Ambleforth, Hambleton and back via Yearsley. With a flat route out and back we should have 90 odd miles done by the time we get back.

FAQ about this event

Have you a Garmin route ? no
Start time and where ? 9am Sunday the squire
Will you wait at the top of the hills for me ? yes
Do I have to wait for you ? yes
Will you have a cafe stop ? yes
Will you have a masseur / masseuse on hand ? its not that type of event.

Remember the clocks go forward on Saturday night. Make sure your happy with your brakes

That's the marketing budget spent hope to see you Sunday

Sounds like purgatory. A fat lad like me, that really doesn’t like upward bits and is utter pants at riding hills would want his head examining if he attempted a ride like this. I’ll be at the square at 9am.
