Maybe we've been spoilt by the Tour coverage on ITV and Eurosport, but that effort from the BBC was dire.
Yes definitely agree with you Darren, I know the result wasnt what we wanted but the coverage bearing in mind the the time they have had to get it right was poor. But obviously that would not have changed the tactics of the the other countries
You couldn't fault the effort from Britain though
but thats a whole other discussion.

Yes coverage was pretty poor - time gaps these days is a minmum requirement - even Boardman & Porter didnt seem to know what was going on - not that it mattered at the finish. Still think GB got the strategy wrong and should have had Millar in the break - somebody with a racing head who can find the finish line from a break. A team of five (six if you include Eisel) is too small to control a race like that. Lets face it another drug banned rider managed to win albeit that muppet Uran practically gave it to him on a plate - tying his shoe laces or something with 100m to go! Just about the worst result possible bearing in mind it is the Olympics, although to be fair Vino did it in fine style.
