RoadBike Stolen! Please help

Post by Jai S »

Hi, this is Jai Sandhu I have been on a sunday clubrun and a couple of 'K' rides and am a regular easyrider, my bike has been stolen which is a valuable item which is very close to my heart and means i can no longer ride, I'm sure you can all understand the situation I'm in, thanyou.

Please help as much as you can to try and find this bike, the police advised me that this would be a good channel to spread the word. Needless to say this bike was very precious to me and i desperately want it back.
Spread the word!
Details of bike:

Stolen Thursday 2nd August - Canyon Roadlite 5.0 (Roadbike)

Parts List

-Canyon Roadlite 5.0 frameset (54 cm or 56 cm frame - medium size essentially) - matt black anodised aluminium, carbon forks (slight rake), white canyon logos

-SRAM Apex complete groupset- compact (34 - 48 tooth) chainrings and an 11-32 cassette

-Mavic Aksium Wheelset- black rims with red and white graphics

-Bright red Continental GP4000 tyres (red all over, unmistakeable)

-Fizik Arione Saddle - black

-Ritchey comp drop bars- white bar tape

-Deda Zero 100 stem (very short-80mm)

-Look Keo Sprint pedals- grey

-Tacx Tao black aluminium bottle cages

-Iridium components seatpost- black

-Mount, counter and magnet for a speedometer (Bontrager)

Last seen with
-Lezyne seatpack- green and black neoprene like material, containing:
-Inner tube
-Tyre levers
-Crank Brothers m10 multitool

This is a very rare bike to see, as I'm sure you know, since Canyon bikes are not stocked by any local retailers, so if you see one, its probably mine!

Please spread the word to wherever you think would be helpful and keep an eye open, this bike was my life and I desperately want it back. THANKYOU VERY MUCH!, Jai

Oh dear!

I'm told that the big bike thieves take their York loot straight to Leeds, and vice versa. If your bike was stolen by one of the smaller thieves and it's still in York, they'll want to offload it.

Email the local shops a picture/description of your bike and ask them to let you know if anyone tries to sell it to them.

Cycleworks
Cycle Heaven
Fulford Cycles
Haxby Cycles
CycleStreet
GetCycling
Evans
Halfords
Bikerescue
Re-Cycle (the secondhand shop inside Walmgate bar. They're not on email so go and talk to them)

There are also online outlets where your bike could get shifted. Set up an automated alert if you can, or else just keep an eye out:

Ebay
Gumtree
Craigslist
Any discussion forums you can think of (Bikeradar, road.cc, Cyclechat,TTF,...)

Good luck!
