Col (Malton Wheelers)
Car drivers i.e. Reuben/Teebs/Nigel T/Maffers...Could you all send me a PM with your full name, date of birth, car reg. no., car make and model plus your BC membership no. I need to put these details on a form for the BC.
I think we need one more volanteer on the night, so if you have thought about offering to help but have not got round to it, now is your chance![]()

Helping out with organising races in 2012

That's great Damien thanks...No problem with you not being a member.DamianE wrote:Hi Cam
I've had holidays rearranged, and hence can guarantee being here on the 17th so as long as volunteers don't have to be club members I'm happy to help. Have a BC membership. Either way will probably come out to watch.
I will put a post up soon to clarify what everyone will be doing on the night, etc.
17th May - North Yorkshire Evening RR League – Bishopwood
Who’s doing what:
• Dave C /Rich T/ Tim Davies (from Malton Wheelers) to do signing-on (signing on is officially 6.00pm but if you could get there for 5.30-5.45pm that would be great)
• Reuben/Teebs/Nigel T/Maffers (from Malton Wheelers) to do lead/following cars
• Darren/Rich D to do the judging at the finish. I know Darren is riding out but I may ask you Rich (assuming you will be driving?) to take a few thing over to the finish including the masking tape for the finish line, lap board, sail banner and bell.
• Col (from Malton Wheelers)/Damien E/Tom F/Tim J to marshal (If you can get to the HQ for 6.00pm for a briefing from Rich Houghton and collect your bibs)
Signing on is from 6.00pm
There will be briefing for riders at 6.50pm outside HQ. The riders will then follow the lead car thru the village at a neutralised pace and onto the circuit. The horn will be sounded to signal the commencement of racing when safe.
Race starts at 7.00pm
I will be there quite a bit earlier to put up signage and will be in the car park from 5.15pm onwards. Don’t really anticipate riders coming before 5.30pm. We have hired the upstairs room in the Jubilee Village Hall, Jubilee Road, Wistow, Selby, YO8 3YP as our HQ for the night but it is only free for us from 6.00pm. Early arrivals can use the toilets and changing room. In the interim, I will set up a table in the car park for signing on.
My mobile number is 07765395627 should you need to ring me on the night.
Many thanks

"Reuben/Teebs/Nigel T/Maffers (from Malton Wheelers) to do lead/following cars"
Shouldn't be a problem for me Cam, however there is a slim chance I may be a little late as I'm flying back from Copenhagen on Thursday afternoon, getting into Manchester around 3.20pm, so I just need to drop my wife back in Haxby and drive down. As long as the flight's on time I hope to be in Wistow before 6pm.
I have your no. now so if there's going to be a problem I'll let you know, however I should be there in plenty of time...

That would be great Darren...Just in case Nigel is running late..If you could send me a PM with your full name, date of birth, car make and model, car registration and BC membership no. I can stick you name down on the form just in case...One of others could then do the judging at the finish should you have to drive the car.Cyan Skymoos wrote:I can come down in the car if you like, it's not a problem. If Nigel wants to swap it gives him more time to get there.

28th June - NYERRL- Escrick
Just wanted to flag this up again:
On the night we need:
2 people to do setting up, signing-on
4 people (with cars and BC membership for insurance purposes) to do lead/following cars
2 people to do judging at the finish, along with general sorting out problems.
1 Marshal
Total = 9 people
So far:- Rich D/ Dave I'A/ Martin Seaman/Darren/Nigel T/Broomwagon/Rich T have said they can help...so thanks to you guys
That's 7 people so far so we need 2 more in total. As before, Rich Houghton's Traffic Management Company will be providing input and we just need to provide the 1 marshall for the Escrick circuit.
Martin has agreed to drive a car so, out of the 9, we need 3 more who can drive a car on the night. You have to be over 21 and a BC member.
The first race at Bish seemed to go very well so lets make this next one that Clifton is organising a good one as well
Many thanks
Cam

Thanks Darren...I did get your text about this and sent you a PM but don't think it got thru. If you can help me put signs up in the afternoon that will be great (you can bring that one I left at Bish
) With 2 of us, should not take that long. Already have your details re: driving a car so will put you down as a driver....To anyone else who is thinking of being a "driver", expenses have been budgeted for and you will receive the princely sum of £20!!
