Anybody up for this? Rode it last year for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sat 12th May, entry due in soon. You get Sunday to recover...

Your luck’s in Rob, I’ve signed up for a second go at this as well! ;)

This was a sensational ride last year. For those even vaguely interested, definitely worth adding your name to the honour board if you haven’t done it before. In fact, do it again even if you have done it before! The more the merrier! – not to mention a big haul of Challenge Series points!

My description of it on the forum last year pretty much sums it up, see: http://discussion.cliftoncc.org/viewtopic.php?t=3601

Don’t forget to read Andy’s version as well on page 2: http://discussion.cliftoncc.org/viewtop ... c&start=15

The café at Stokesley, Uno Momento, is worth it for the trip alone.

So if you are even remotely interested in testing yourself or are simply curious as to what hardcore Audaxers look like (rare as red squirrels), then give this a go, it’s definitely worth it!

D.

PS. If Bernard reads this, the website still shows TBC for the Challenge Series Points for this ride – have you finalised your thoughts yet?

Should I or shouldn't I ? :?

Can someone convince me ?

I can hardly say no having done the Ullswater ride last year. It does sound like a good route having read your right ups from last years ride.

We could make it an Ullswater reunion ... but I think I've got a good excuse this time. Maybe see you next year.

Ian H and I thought we might do it but at a pace we could both manage even if it ended up being a very very long day in the saddle. Your welcome to join us Jon if that helps.

Thanks for the offer Steen, but I think I may opt for the 100k ride as I will be doing the Selby bike ride on the Sunday as well. :)

Last year was a bit of an epic ride so very tempted. Have just filled out the entry form, so only need to get it in the post! Not sure it's a sensible idea to ride 300km in a day just two days before departing for 3 weeks cycle touring in Provence and the Alpes Maritimes but we shall see. At least it'll make a change from spending hour after hour on a fully-laden bike...
