See you in the Square at 0900 for a long winter ride to the coast. Looking at about 100miles, which is a big day out at this time of the year. There'll be a Xmas dinner option in the cafe and I'd guess we'll be finishing in the dark, so bring good lights.

The weather's been a little changeable recently so I reserve the right to finesse the route accordingly. The chances are we'll be able to follow the plan though. I'll be in The Square, rain or shine.

Discovered a puncture before starting out last week and could not make the 9am start. Just on the off chance of a repeat, what is the destination and route for sunday? This week, I will hopefully make it to the square on time with two inflated tyres.

The route out will depend a bit on road conditions. Hopefully Castle Howard, but if icy we'll go up Gally Gap to Malton. Then onwards through Dalby Forest to Scarborough. Back via Troutsdale.

I was hoping to have made the last couple of Sundays but have been sidelined with a chest infection since going to Rosedale with Paul M. It's a understatement to say that I hate getting ill I'm sure everybody does but even though I feel better today you never feel quite right for ages afterwards and you have to start exercise slowly again to test how you feel. Up until then though I was seriously considering the Tan Hill ride. But I'm guessing all of the above sounds like an excuse now  But hey I would have done it if I felt 100%.

I think though it's time to get past Christmas before resuming some long rides but for me it is also very weather dependent. When I looked at the road outside my house this morning it looked like an ice rink. Any one riding today certainly is braver than me :)

A bit of the same for me Jon, I have laid off the running and cycling for a couple of weeks due to a bit of tendonitis on the hip. Was really looking forward to being in the square at ten this morning for the K, but after an 8am walk with the dog decided it was too treacherous. Went and did an hour of legs, bums and tums with the girls in the gym and now feel so sore that I wish I had chanced it in the square after all :D
