If you're planning your weekend awheel.....

The Sunday option is a trip to the Northern Wolds. Likely cafe is at Driffield. 80 odd miles over mixed terrain.

0900, The Square, rain or shine.

Thanks for today Rob- a good outing in less than perfect conditions. Definitely need to bring the winter bike home, if only to reduce the amount of spray from my back wheel! Still, the Ribble looked much happier after a wash!

87 miles for me @16mph average.

See you next week hopefully

Thank you for the wonderful ride in a wonderful surrounding. The weather was from my point of view better than perfect, not too hot or cold and not too dry, the UV was very low, so perfect for a ride;) I liked the little road between the hills (after about 50-60km ride a little bit before my puncher) and then the cyclocross part was something new for me, somebody told me that it is in the UK still Road Bike;) hehe
On some parts the "path" has not the best pavement, but in such a nice group and at such nice weather, it was OK.
The timing for the two punchers was not the best, there we have to improve a little bit... My first puncher right up on the hill in the wind and then couldn´t get the tire off... BUT: that was clearly Rob´s fault!!! He choose such a little path with all kind of dirt and treebranches even though there was a wide road... nanana (just joking) And the hole came right in between the tire protectore (bad luck)
The second puncher (not mine this time) just about 10 min before the cafe stop but without wind and the stopp was two times faster than my!
At the End the guys brought me almost to my door, because I didn´t know for a long time where I am... THANK YOU
For me 143km and 1206m of climbing. Too bad that we don´t have SAUNA here, that is what I was missing...
And I have never seen such a dirty bike after a ride like today, but don´t worry Bernard, tommorow the Woodrup will shine red again! ;)
See ya
