Gerry's Autumn Brevet - who's riding?

Post by G. »

Gerry's Autumn Brevet's this Sunday. 100km from Wigginton, a cafe stop at Ampleforth and - by far the most important point - the last chance to gain points for the challenge series. If you're on 5, 9 or 14 points then you need this ride!

So, who's riding? The cost is £2 and you can enter on the line, though in that case, Gerry will love you if you bring your own form. The ride starts at the village hall, or I'll be riding out from the square shortly after 9. If anyone would like to join me, I won't have to feel like such a loner

I will be riding this one and will enter on the day, will take my entry form with me already filled in.

I will be heading straight there as it's not too far from where I live.

Hi, I just arrived at York and I would like to join you. I am not a member, neither I have a printer, but I can bring 2Pounds with me. You will start shortly after 9 at the square, is there only one square or where is the square? And the distance is 100km from Wigginton? Thank you very much!

Hi Pavie,
You don't need to be a member of Clifton CC to ride this, as it's not run by Clifton but is part of a national organisation called Audax UK. The distance is 100km from Wigginton, the ride starts at 10 and I'll be riding from Exhibition Square soon after 9. Bring your £2 and you can fill in a form when you get there. See you on Sunday.

Hi G,
I will be riding out from the square as well, but as I haven't entered yet will not be hanging around to long, also I have seen Pavle this morning so he might go out tomorrow with Kevins rides, but then he may turn up with us, I have given him details of the square etc.
If you spot a tall guy riding my red Woodrup than this will be Pavle.

Hi Greg and Bernard,
I won´t go out tomorrow for the saturday ride, but I will come on sunday and I will be at the square at 9am with Bernards red Woodrup! I tried it today a little bit and it feels good, ready for my first ride in GB/York! I got plenty of maps from Bernard and G.´s link helps me to find it.
Thank you and see you!

Thank you guys and girls, I had a fantastic ride! I enjoyed it from the first mile ;) Dry weather and warm. Very beautiful landscapes and hills (ampelforth). You had sometimes to wait for my photos, but thanks, they will remember me of my first ride on british ground! Only the streets are a little bit to narrow and the cars are often pretty close... In Finland you have more space. But, thanks to Bernard (also for his bike!!!) I have now the route and maybe I will do it once more... Maybe! And... I like your club clothing (and of course your club!), it looks very good, nice design!
