Hi,

just to say thanks for coming yesterday, hope you all enjoyed the ride despite it being considerably longer than advertised! I missed a turn at Middlehead Top which added on a few miles

Great ride thanks Willow. Well led and don't worry about the occasional nav error, there's a lot going on with such a big group and no-one worries about the odd u-turn in such fab weather.

Some good new tracks for me too and the one over Hograh Moor goes straight into my top 10 - classic moorland singletrack that puts a huge smile on your face.

Agree with the above, a sensational day Willow, you led it superbly! 14 of us enjoyed the sun, surf, sand, bikini-clad beach-goers, lots of purple stuff on the Moors and some fantastic riding…OK, maybe the sand was an exaggeration. ;) Loved the café at Kildale too, can’t understand how that one has eluded me on the Club road runs! Had a Eureka moment in the café when I discovered a group of MTB-ers that crave the same ‘recovery drink’ that I do at the end of a ride! ;) Really enjoyed cranking up the group riding on the return leg as we chased the Spanish hare, Manolo, up the climbs…a great way to lose my holiday saddle-bags! Thought I’d gone troppo in the sun when two uni-cyclists rode past us in the opposite direction above Kildale! The extra miles in the day meant I got home a bit late to the proverbial wrist-slapping, but it was well worth it! Thanks heaps Chris, a sensational day!

:)

PS. A special well done to the Trans-Walers; a huge challenge, awesome result!
