Who was it who said "you can't win an event in the first mile, but you can certainly lose it"? Although it didnt seem to slow you down too much Matt. But
I think I was up there also which probably does prove the point!

Thanks to Steve & Dawn for a great event as ever and to everyone involved with it. Two thirds of the field were from Clifton which is amazing so well done to all!

Way hey! ...and I wasn't sick in my mouth.

In fact, I wasn't very chuffed with my result. I crossed the line after giving it everything and thought I did a really good time. It was only when I got back to HQ that I realised I wasn't first!
There was some hellish competition though.

Mac showed me a few of his results

I think Matt was quickest something like 1:29

The range went from that to over 2 mins

I was surprised that it took that long to get to first turn

And that iirc i *only* lost 14 secs - my top gear is 48*13 :)

Cath took a few photos at Stillington. I have uploaded them here https://picasaweb.google.com/1065605924 ... OpenTT2011 and added a link to the Open TT website page.

I think to that corner I was like 2 mins something, it was tougher than I expected, thought it'd have being a tailwind down that hill then on the straight but was a headwind.
