Wed 6th evening ride

Post by jayw »

Hi all.
I'm leading the ride on Wed Meet at the usual Castle Howard Car Park (at the side of the really straight Castle Howard road across from the lake) at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.
The ride is about 17 miles, all very welcome & would suit all levels.

Cheers

Hi.

I'm not a member of the club yet but just wondered if its ok to have a ride before I join.

I usually have a ride round castle howard most wednesdays but typically this week we have planned (not yet confirmed) to ride from newton. If we don't go then I will hopefully see you there.

ROAD CLOSURE - from A64 Barton Hill - detour in place

Post by SteveW »

Hi all,

I've just been passing today and there is a road closure on the Castle Howard Road, from the A64 Barton Hill direction. The closure is just north of the Whitwell on the Hill to Thornton Le Clay road, so I suggest if you were planning to go via that road, take an earlier exit off the A64 and go through Flaxton , or even Strensall. It is open again before the Welburn to Bulmer crossroads.

There is a diversion which is time consuming...:(

See you tomorrow !

Hi Majik,

I'm new to the club also but I'm a member - I think it's widely accepted people can come for a ride or two to see what it's like before committing themsleves !

The moderators will correct me if I'm wrong !

Hope to see you on one of the rides,

Steve
