York Cycle Works cycle fit is amazing!

Post by Finlay Dawson »

Its worth every penny....

If any on is thinking of splashing out on a new bike, wanting to sort out aches and pains on the bike or simply wanting a better position on the bike, I can thoroughly recomend the cycle fit service from Cycle works.

Jenny has been suffering from aching shoulders for ages and for her new bike she decided to have a fitting. She now has no aches and is also faster on the bike!

They gave her a good discount on the fitting too.

I'm booked in for mine!

Sam for cycle works has also offered to bring his kit down to a suitable gathering so people can try it out and get an idea of whats involved....would anyone be interested in that?

Agree completely - had it done myself last week. (yes, even on my unsophisticated machine!) Really thorough, Ironed out loads of little niggles & Sam gave me some great advice on new bikes too.

Totally recommend it :D

What was the cost please?

Can't say i'm that enamoured by the service at the Cycleworks (very unhelpful both times i've visited) but would consider using this fitting service.

I had the cyclefit done in London a couple of years ago by the top man there. I was desperate when I was getting Hip and glute pain everytime I went out.
The biggest waste of money in my life, I came away looking like the Postman on his bike, and with added knee pains. My own fault really I should have just gone to a physio first. I put my position/cleats etc back to how it was and I was fine after 6 sessions and some exercises to do from my physio.

Cycleworks 'fitted' me a couple of months ago as I was struggling to get comfortable... For me it was brilliant and I'm really pleased I did!! New to road biking, post the fitting (and a new bike purchase) it finally felt comfortable!

I've got to say I've been very impressed with this service, it's worth every penny. It's certainly improved my riding so I'd recommend it to anyone.
