As trailed, destination is Cockayne - Clifton's favourite clubrun. Not sure why, but this loop doesn't feel as hard as it used to. Maybe its because we all have lower gears and lighter tackle. Or maybe its because we don't ride as hard.
Anyway, 85miles. No melodramatics. Early cafe to help those wanting a shorter ride. Main ride should be back in the city at about 4.
See you in The Square at 0900

Rob - I presume you are stopping in Helmsley and going round clockwise?
I shall join you and carry on as in previous weeks. So if anyone wants a non stopper this weekend as an alternative to multiple laps round Bishops Wood then see you Sunday. Bring food and drink to last 4 hours.
All being well I'll be getting the racing machine out of the understairs cupboard this weekend so just hoping its all ok - I havent seen it since October!

Paul, was going to go anti-clockwise for a change, only because w stopped at Helmesley last week. That means stopping at H-le-H this week. Could be pursuaded to go the other way, if preferred.
Went for a spin on my summer bike yesterday, felt great, but will be back on my "bike for all seasons" on Sunday - hope the crak holds!

I was going to join you. I haven't done this sort of distance before, I did do the saturday K ride a few weeks ago, so I hope I'll be OK.
Should I bring a bike lock, or can I leave it at home?
