Feather Cycles Custom Bicycles Introduction...

Post by rickyfeather »

Hi everyone,

I just want to introduce myself, Ricky Feather.

I have been building custom steel frames, forks, stems etc, and the occasional complete bike under the name Feather Cycles here in York for about a year and half now. I thought it was about time I let the locals know.

As you will see on my blog, many of my frames have been track and single speed but I really want to find my way and take my passion into the road and touring bike market. I would like to be making more bikes for local riders as well as sending them off around the world.

My main aim has been to produce quality cycle frames using traditional methods combined with contemporary design and materials, all the while making traditional frames in timeless materials too. I use the best tubing available from Reynolds and Columbus and each and every frame is built individually for the utmost in quality and attention to detail.

I use Atlantic Boulevard for a glass like paint finish and chrome plating, I also offer excellent powdercoat finishes if you are after a more durable finish for winter or heavy touring.

As well as all this I am also available for doing repairs on any steel frame or fork.

You can see some of my work on my blog at www.feathercycles.com

Please don't hesitate to give me a call or an email with any enquiries or questions you may have, or if you would like a price list.

Thanks a lot for your time!!!

Cheers,

Ricky.

Also, I forgot to mention my Flickr where you can find pics of the progress of frames being built and day to day workshop pics.

Hope all is still going well for you, and to all, you have to see them to believe the quality of the workmanship that Ricky can produce. He can ride a bike a little bit too
