February Club Run - Moors - 13th Feb

Post by StephF »

This month the club run will be on

SUNDAY 13th FEBRUARY

Meet at Hole of Horcum car park at 10 am

Cafe stop at Goathland

A very pretty ride that goes from Hole of Horcum through Levisham and to Goathland for lunch, back via Fylingdales.

It's a good one for this time of year. Not too muddy, not too technical but a good day out riding. I'd say it is suitable for roadies who fancy having a go at mountain biking too.

Please post if you are able to come so we can sort out lifts etc.

Having spoken with Steph, she will be leading the fast group.

I will be leading a "K" version, at an easier pace, we will be doing the same route to the cafe but the will be a shorter option for the return.

Kev, Charlie is welcome too!

How fast is the fast group and how far is the ride, roughly?

Fast is generous, a normal briskish (is that a word?!) pace is probably more accurate! It's about 23 miles, some of the moorland is a little boggy, the rest of the route is fine (it was the other week anyway). The biggest climb is on road.

Cafe stop just after half way in Goathland.

This roadie would also like to come, can give a lift if anyone needs one; failing that see you in the car park.
