I'll be doing Donny Wheelers, Tom Simpson, and Cltfton LVRC. I'll see what else is on the LVRC calendar when they get it up.

hopefully get in a few of these as last year they filled up quick so if you are thinking of entering be quick to avoid disapointment.

...and from the forum on the LVRC website:-

"The LVRC race calendar for 2011 has been compiled and is being ratified by the executive committee at the meeting scheduled for 15/1/2011; it should be published very soon after that (a few days maybe)"

Plus might do the Fleche Waltonne again (Market Harborough) if it happens (around late March) and Minty's Mem RR (early May).

...plus whatever other stuff appears and appeals as calendars firm up.

LVRC calendar is now on the site, looks quiet till May but a good half dozen or so events for me...so time to kick on.

Perhaps us old men should have a pub meeting?

(Derek Smith clashes with Steve Rigby, will be away when Donny Wheelers happens, and Vic Sutton's on a hilly circuit that I know I'd struggle on).

I got a short notice entry in the Fleche Waltonne last year when I failed to get a ride in a BC race up at Stokesley and didn't want to "waste" a weekend I'd earmarked for racing. Boxed up the bike, took the train down and stayed in a local cheap hotel. Circuit is excellent; a big undulating loop through lovely countryside with a short but very sharp hill before the finish. Last year the organisers were struggling for entries and ended up running A/B/C/D together - hopefully this year the numbers may be better.

Just a reminder for those of you intending doing BC events this year to take an occasional look at the online race calendar - quite a lot of new stuff has appeared in the last few days including a few midweek/evening events (and indeed our own BC road race!).
