Winter reading...

Post by PhilBixby »

...for those snow-filled days when training rides get cancelled:- Interesting article on training for veterans (ie over 40, ie most of you!) in the current Veteran Leaguer - http://www.lvrc.org/uploads/leaguer/6AD ... 9F7D66.pdf. The author suggests that as veterans we should focus less on base miles (because or legs are full of 'em anyway) and more on intensity (because this is what combats the ageing process). Discuss!

Interesting reading but for me cycling wouldn't be much fun if I just did intensity all the time. If I have a rubbish year I might change the way I do things next winter.
