Historically, Scarborough Paragon applied with the CTT to have a late club event, as more of a social get-together, and shared the organisation with Malton Wheelers and Bridlington CC. In years gone by, Clifton CC used to be part of that, extending the responsibility to up to 4 clubs. That was in the days when we held it on the V418 (A169 between Malton and Pickering), with a base afterwards at the Black Bull pub. As they do sometimes, things dwindled, and in more recent years it's been between Malton, SPCC and Brid. but guest riders are always welcome. Just because you're not part of the trio of clubs sharing the organisation, doesn't mean you can't ride. A donation towards refreshments or offering help on the day is always welcome, but not expected. Hull riders have also come along in the last few seasons.
Paragon always apply for the date and provide the HQ as relevant, but the clubs take it in turn each year to provide the timekeepers and small prizes for all competitors.
We're not so much asking Clifton to commit to anything at this moment, (unless you want to of course), but to extend a welcome to your riders who may want to turn up and have a go.
You can always contact us via www.scarborough-paragon.org.uk
Thanks, and hope to see you there.
