Can't believe no one else has started a thread so here goes!

Comments on Cancellara's role as 'patron' on stage 2?

Will Brad have to support G if he maintains his advantage after the Alps?

How 'enhanced' is LA?

Is Cav a busted flush?

I think Cancellara's decision on stage 2 was fair: it would have been a bit unfair if they contested the sprint with almost half the peloton down in that crash. Although, I suppose that's racing?

What a ride by Cancellara and Andy Schleck on the cobbles! Stage 3 was a bit crazy in terms of the GC mix up, but no doubt LA will find some way to pull back his deficit.

Very pleased for Cadel Evans; he's in the best position at the moment for GC, but can he better the other contenders on the mountains?

It was good of Cancellara to let the crashed ones back on, but why is it unfair to sprint once the field was back together?? Yes, some of the peloton was still not there, but that makes no difference whether they sprint or not - the back group lost 5 minutes regardless. Also, would Cancellara have done that if his team leader hadnt been the one down?

Some of the riders, for example Hushovd, worked hard over the terrain to stay with the front group from the peloton, so he deserves the reward for that, otherwise he could have just sat at the back in the autobus and saved energy. The roads may not have been the best, but then, its the exact same route used on LBL, won by Andy Schelck last year, so not entierly unexpected.

So I do think it was fair to let the race go back together, but I done see why that menas there should be no sprint once that had happened - theres not even time bonuses, so no disadvantage at all to the contenders to let there be a sprint...
