Ron Kit preview ride

Post by MarkA »

Last year we did a preview ride for Ron Kit for those people not able to make the official event from Race Course

Bernard has offered to lead similar this year and has already had a few enquiries.

Departing 9am on Sunday from Exhibition Square.

The joy of Ron Kit is that both routes share first and last leg so we should be able to make it up on the day!

You will of course get your points for Challenge Series and it is ok to do one route this Sat and the other following.

Please post here if interested.

Spoke with Bernard on the phone earlier in the week about this.

0900 Sunday start.
Am guessing that Bernie will tackle the slightly shorter (though still challenging route), while I'll strike out for the longer version. So you don't need to pay any money, but you can still take your choice....

Yes, as per last year, points for both.

150 route:

option of Rosedale Chimney, Hutton le Hole.

Shorter route is the same except at bottom of Gillamoor bank straight on to Hutton le Hole then rejoin 150 route at Marton.

Did 150 route today, saturday. Rosedale head to Rosedale Road signed as closed. You can get through but will have to pick your way through road works on foot. Have left a message for Bernard on his answerphone in case no-one checks discussion forum. Have a good day!
