Your efforts put me to shame
Barring the club run on the 27th I have only waved at the bikes in the garage and have giving up on the rowing machine as it is just so cold in there.
I have a new regime of walking in the snow and sliding on the frozen puddles in my wellies backed up with baking for an upper body work out -all that whisking.
Haven't used a turbo for 8 years but when rowing I like REM for steady efforts or 1950's rock and roll for intervals.

Slap it on shuffle and take it as it comes creates some interesting interval sessions
Try a Little Tenderness by the immortal Otis (Redding) builds to a nice cresendo and reminiscing to Searching for the Young Rebels (Dexy's Midnight Runners) is great fun - especially GENO.
Be warned though - at some future point slugging up a real hill you'll find yourselves interminably humming some subliminally secreted song.

Absolutely. Doing some good intervals and being pushed along nicely by Metallica - into the all-out sprint...and then Leonard Cohen comes on.Slap it on shuffle and take it as it comes creates some interesting interval sessions
And for anyone who's never heard of Leonard Cohen - download some and try sprinting to him.

I too like Mal am a child of the 80's and would've had Geno on me playlist - will be added soon I've no doubt.
Other recently played tunes include:
Ramones - Baby I Love You
Stranglers - Always The Sun, Skin Deep, Nice & Sleazy, Golden Brown, No more Heroes
Stiff Little Fingers - At The Edge
Vapors - turning Japanese
Clash - Should I stay or Should I Go
Big Audio Dynamite - E=MCsq
Don Henley - Boys of Summer
Catatonia - Mulder & Scully
Shara Nelson - Down That Road - If only!!
Verve - Bitter sweet Symphony, Lucky Man
Texas - I Dont Want a Lover, Summer Sun
Just coincidence that some of the above titles make reference to something not seen for a while! Current weather conditions may see said playlist extended soon as still finding it logistically difficult to make it out of street in cycling shoes!
Dont care on the suitability of the above for long steady efforts or sprints - it just makes the occasional half hour short steady efforts I've been making spent staring at my reflection in the back door more tolerable. And fans are for wimps - you should have the heating on and the oven door open!

TURBO
I suffer from lack of motivation in the winter, so whilst the weather conditions prevent safe, enjoyable riding, the turbo tyre is fitted. 3 to 4 structured sessions per week on a turbo, listening to a bit of Clubland 16 is enough to keep ticking over. Combine that with an occasional swim or gym visit and my winter training isn't a chore.
