Campag Front Wheel Found in Tockwith on Saturday (Vento I think) by very nice BMW driver. The driver said he would place it at the post office.
Just to prove that car drivers are not evil and BMW drivers are not Big Manky, Anchors, me, Big Col and Si Wright were enjoying a beautiful sunny ride on Saturday and had come back through Tockwith when a BMW driver flagged us down and asked if we had lost a wheel. Since we all had two wheels on our bikes and non were riding trikes, we obviously hadn't. The driver had found it just before Tockwith (on his way from York) and was concerned that it may have fallen from a car and someone would be wheel-less. Anyway, he said he would leave it at the post office and I said I would post a message on Cliftons message board, since over 200 people are members of clifton and it is a very strong chance it would be a clifton member or someone known to Clifton. Anyway, if anyone is missing a wheel or notices someone riding around wheelying, the front wheel is at the post office in Tockwith. Had it been shimano, I may not have put this post up. Only joking!! Had it been a Bora, well, that may have been another thing!!
