Wed Eve ride - 9th Sep
This will be the final ride of the Summer eve series. Night rides start soon.
Last week we lost usable light about 8pm, not helped by the rain.
This week we'll do Castle Howard again for a fairly easy loop, then a quick drink in the Pub after. If you've got lights it'll be an idea to bring them but if not come along anyway. There's usually enough candle power around to light Wembley.
7pm Coneysthorpe Crossroads (SE 707712). Any takers?
Also, anyone who's ordered a club top and wants me to bring it along, let me know.

A semi nocturnal moist evening ride sounds like the perfect way to get back in the saddle after far too long a stint of inactivity. would anyone mind if i attended? if not why not and who do i need to bribe...

Good ride for the Dirty (Baker's) Dozen last night.
Fairly muddy I thought and it got darker much quicker than I expected so hopefully those without lights enjoyed the adventure of not seeing where you were going.
Whilst the 'Summer eve' rides are definitely finished there may be some mileage in a few more 'Twilight' rides before we switch to night rides on a Friday, lights are a must though. I'm just thinking that the next couple of Fridays are out (for me anyway) so maybe we have a couple more Wed eve rides. Open to ideas.
I'm also after spreading the load as far as organising/leading the night rides. Dalby's the usual location but there's plenty of options on the moors too. We just need to pick routes that are easily navigable in the dark and aren't too claggy.
