This is the first time i have posted anything on a message board. I recently met a couple of the club members at the York cycle weekend at rowntrees park. I have been interested in joining a cycling club for some time and finally the long and boring rides on my own have go to much.
Unfortunatley with my profession i work a lot of weekends and seem to get a lot time off in the week, and the weekend i do have free are spent with the family. I would class myself as more of an intermediate rider, riding anywhere between 40-80 miles depending on terrain but just getting out there and riding is my made interest. So if anyone else has the same problem with unsocial hours then drop me a buzz.
Before the school holidays a number of us used to go out on a Tuesday morning for a few hours. Not sure how many wil be able to restart this once schools restart but if this does start again you'd be more than welcome!
Over the autumn/winter there is also a Wednesday weekly training ride at 6:30 in the evening for 25-30 miles approx. Not sure when these will begin though.
Hi Guys
I will be free on a Tuesday once the kids return to school. I am sure that the old possie are all still up for a ride with the exception of Mandy as she will be working Tuesdays.
See you Tuesday 8th?

Timing is an issue - I suppose it depends on whether the ride is going to be a regular one as it became before. If we start at the same time every week it is easier to manage and also to recommend/promote. On the other hand it means less flexibility.
I think I can reasonably make it 2 weeks out of 3 for the foreseeable future and maybe 3 out of 4. I'd guess that 9:30 might be easier for some people than earlier although it does restrict the time (and therefore distance) we have available.
Can others post on their ideas/preferences?
EDIT: I'm going to start a separate thread to make this more visible
